Sophie Dode works from her studio a few minutes from Les 2 Alpes. Somewhere between landscape and abstraction, her creativity is nourished by the landscapes that surround us, the mountains, their lights and nature through the seasons. Landscape’ then becomes a springboard from which this artist springs towards form, colour and movement .... At the frontiers of the mountain landscape, Sophie Dode magnificently translates our multiple emotions in the face of Mother Nature. Sophie lovingly produces her own paints, based on acrylics and pigments, and as often as possible on plant resins, taking care to decant the water used in her practice, while respecting the beauty of her small high-mountain village.
