The Crystal Miners’ Festival is back in 2027… (Date to be confirmed)
Venosc has a rich history linked to the exploitation of its natural resources. Slate and crystal workers have helped to build the village's heritage.
Due to the weather conditions, the event is going ahead as planned and has been moved inside the Venosc town hall.
Throughout the day, you can discover the history of the crystal makers of the Oisans and the slate mines of Venosc.
All day long, in the streets of the village:
- Exhibition on the theme of crystal and slate miners
- Crystal-maker stands
- Showing of a film on slate splitting and discussions with André Brun, one of the last slate quarrymen in Venosc
- Lithotherapy advice from
